Example of internet bullying over I-502

For a long time I have saw silly divisions come up and major arguments break out over one topic or another.  When it starts hurting instead of helping the movement is when people start launching personal attacks.   The issues surrounding I-502 in Washington state is a shining example of this negative type of discussion.
I honestly think a healthy discussion, and even a major disagreement CAN be positive, but when the argument ignites a fire of personal attacks, that is when it’s time to reassess the situation and change up.

I also spoke about some of the changes going on at  www.xCannabis.com  check back for more of that to come.  We have just redesigned the layout of the site, and soon we will be re categorizing the site to make it easier to browse through the archives.

  • Do you have any evidence of the sponsors or anyone officially working for New Approach Washington making threatening remarks or engaging in name calling against opponents?

    • Yes

      • If provided with evidence I would have to believe you. Until then I remain skeptical.

        • I have recorded this, NORML who sponsors endorses I-502 has engaged in this heavily.  The ACLU had been instrumental in drumming up the trouble from the beginning by blocking people from their facebook page when almost ANY question was asked.   There are several videos of this on my YouTube channel, and I made a few posts about it here on this blog.

          • My question was, “Do you have any evidence of the sponsors or anyone officially working for New Approach Washington making threatening remarks or engaging in name calling against opponents?”

NORML or the ACLU are not sponsors, nor employees of NAW. A list of the sponsors, 10 of them are listed at the NAW website. For a group you claim engages in these behaviors “heavily,” I have yet to see one word of proof. You have provided no evidence of “threats” or “name calling” by them as you have claimed.

Reverend, I should not have to remind you of the ninth commandment–the one about bearing false witness. If you are unable to back up your claims, your next step is repentance and to ask forgiveness.

NAW has control of only one group–NAW itself. “Censoring,” (blocking or removing inappropriate posts from a website) does not constitute a threat or name calling.

          • First of all I think you did not read my orginal message or watch my video, because your question has nothing to do with the claims that I made.   Secondly when you say “NORML or the ACLU are not sponsors, nor employees of NAW.”   You are wrong, Alison Holcomb is from the ACLU.

          • “I have yet to see one word of proof. You have provided no evidence of “threats” or “name calling” by them as you have claimed.”

Wrong, I linked a video showing this.  And that the evidence doesn’t suffice your desires, your question also does not fit the content.   Watch the YouTube video that I posted on this particular post.   It shows Ian Moody an official signature gatherer and someone who claimed to be officially aligned with NAW, as well as Jon Hamm from NORML making threats.

As for the ACLU censoring questions on the NAW website, they were not at all inappropriate.  There are plenty of screen shots and recordings of the questions and the censorship out there.  Go find them.  Of course to a die hard supporter of this corrupt change in law, I don’t expect you to care.

          • I did watch your videos. That is what lead me to respond to your unsubstantiated claim and ask, “Do you have any evidence of the sponsors or anyone officially working for New Approach Washington making threatening remarks or engaging in name calling against opponents?”

The key word here is “from” the ACLU. Alison Holcomb is the Campaign Director for New Approach Washington, on loan from her position as Drug Policy Director for the ACLU of Washington.

Even so, then please provide a quote supporting your claim that Alison Holcomb has threatened on called opponents of I-502 names.

You have been given repeated opportunities to substantiate your claims and have not done so.

Ian Moody is NOT a sponsor nor does he work for NAW. He is from the Sensible Spokane Alliance. Ganja John Hamm is from NORML and is not a sponsor of I-502 nor does he work for New Approach Washington.

Claiming to be a man of God is a big responsibility. You have clearly made inaccurate and misleading claims and now it is time for you to repent and make amends rather than engaging in public rationalizations.

I will concede that some opponents and proponents of I-502 have engaged in very unseemly behavior. But it has not come from the sponsors or employees of New Approach Washington.

          • “Do you have any evidence of the sponsors or anyone officially working for New Approach Washington making threatening remarks or engaging in name calling against opponents?”

And I would be happy to give you evidence of anything that I made a claim about.
In my video what did I say about “anyone officially” this or that?

And when did I say anything about Alison Holcomb threaten anyone?I didn’t. I said that the NAW campaign, of which the ACLU is directly involved, censored people on their facebook page for asking respectful questions and raising illegitimate concerns.

Point is that people who were paid by NAW to collect signatures DID threaten people.   Here is the evidence.  Ian Moody was a paid signature gatherer and claimed to be directly of the employ of NAW.

            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqlJqG8Zv6w

You will also see Jon Hamm of NORML making threats.Thats what I claimed, and I do have evidence for it.  If you are asking for proof of something that I didn’t claim, it’s no wonder you blindly support NAW.  It seems you have a comprehension problem.

          • Also smart guy, this statement is silly:

            Notspicoli (my anonymous) says:
            —–

“Claiming to be a man of God is a big responsibility. You have clearly made inaccurate and misleading claims and now it is time for you to repent and make amends rather than engaging in public rationalizations.”

            ——
My faith has nothing do to with anything here.  First of all I have no church, no official religion, I am a leader of no one.

My faith is like learning science. What brought me to faith in God, is studying. Not the ambition of leading people.

Secondly what I said is true.  People like Ian Moody who were paid by NAW did threaten people.  I have the evidence and I showed you.
