Here is some more introduction to our company Emerald Sun Inc. We have had some set back, but we will still be opening on March 17th St. Patrick’s Day. A few issues that we have had are.
Signs are going to be one day late
Skateboards are going to be a few days late
Stickers will be a few days late, but we will have 1000 stickers for St. Patty’s day parade
We are in the midst of getting Emerald Sun’s Design Studio open. Our grand opening is St. Paddy’s day which is only 11 days out. So as things go for us, we are busy.
We are proud to announce that we are sponsoring NORML in two ways with our new venture.
1. We are donating 5% of all sales to WA NORML until May 10th 2010.
2. We are running banner ads and audio ads on the NORML Stash (NORML Live)
Have a listen to our audio ad that will be played on NORML Live
We are honored to be able to participate and we love NORML!
Congrats on the CBS ad NORML! (read more..)
In other news, we released this plugin for Wordpress today. This is GentleSource’s software, but we modified it so that it would create shortlinks from SLU2.com by default. With this plugin, you can automatically have social networking via twitter at the bottom of each blog post, and a view only needs to click on the twitter icon to tweet your post, with a shortened URL from www.SLU2.com (Sensi Life).
Also if you haven’t signed it yet, PLEASE sign the petition for I-1068 (WA).
If you don’t know where to sign, come to our grand opening.
Here is a list of places that you can sign as well. SensibleWashington.org
We have decided to delay the opening of Emerald Sun Incorporate until March 17th.
We have a few permits and licenses as well as a few walls to build.
I figure St. Patty’s is a good day, that doesn’t get a lot of attention. It falls on Wednesday this year after all. So we will probably just keep the party warm for the weekend.
On Wednesday March 17th, we will open our doors. We will serve some refreshments and get to know our neighbors.
We will also have a killer sale on all of our new wares! When I say new, I mean no one else has these wares, because they are designed and made by Emerald Sun. Kimberly makes hand sewn threads, from hoodies to shorts, and even some sick kushy bags that we call “Dope Duffals”, these were a hit at HempFest last year!
I will be sporting a new line of clothing made by us. My birthday present from Kimi is this really bad ass corduroy hoodie! Im psyched! You want to talk about made in the USA, these are made in your own back yard! Made for rugged, and casual use.
We are an outdoors type of family, so we make our clothing for our lifestyle.
We will also have a variety of Emerald Sun t-shirts will clever designs to promote the cannabis awareness and legalization movement.
Don’t miss out on this sale, we are give 5% of ever sale to WA NORML, and we are going to be discounting each item at least 15% off regular prices.
Also we will have forms to sign for the I-1068 petition. Read more about it at:
You’re reading the first weekly volunteer newsletter alerting you to upcoming events that are rich signature-gathering opportunities for us! A campaign coordinator will be on site at every event with extra blank petitions, so if you’re a first-time volunteer you will be in good hands.
Expect a follow-up call soon from your local coordinator. S/he will invite you to attend at least one event per week so you can contribute regularly toward the Eastern Washington goal of 80,000 signatures before July 2nd. S/he will also be your contact for turning in completed petitions and getting new blank ones.
If every volunteer turns out for one or two events per week, we will make it on the ballot!
The success of I-1068 is up to you. The only question left: What will you do to repeal Prohibition and stop that knock at the door for good?
Bring a clipboard/cardboard, some pens and a friend — and come to this week’s organized events to find out!

Right now is exciting times for us. We have sold multiple point of sales systems, and that has allowed us to open a business.
Also before we have even made any new products, we found out that we got a sale today on the demo that we had at Pegasus Book Store in Pocatello Idaho! We had some really expensive demos made, while we were getting our screen printing business setup. And while we didn’t make any money off the sale of this deck, it was a great feeling to have sold our first skate deck ever!
Thanks to Pegasus Book Store for featuring our deck in your display, more decks are on the way! We love you!
These our the decks that we have available at this time.
Contact Ryan @ xCannabis for information on our decks if you are interested in a single or bulk purchase. We have great wholesale rates available now. New product will be available on March 10th at our new location:

This is a video to replace the one that I posted a few days ago. Im not dressed as well in this video, and I shot the film on my back porch so it’s a little rustic. But I think I got my points across better, and I made an advancement in the software that I wanted to share, concerning OpenBravo and the ability to connect a remote database.
On the topic of remote databases. I just wanted to point out the obvious. If you’re database and customer information is stored remotely, it is much harder for criminals to come in and take your data. Or for example, if the FEDS come in for a routine shakeup, and if they take your computer system, then at least they only got computer parts and no customer data.
Both software’s that we offer with our system have the ability to be remotely hosted, both are open source, and both are free.
Here’s the video, thanks for watching!
Also I wanted to announce that we just built apothecary509.com for a friend. John Parr will be adding content to his site in the near future. I just wanted to give him a shoutout. John is a great healer and an RN here in the 509. Big ups bro!
I have been growing weed off and on all my life since I was 15 years old.
I got thrown out of my parents house at a young age for growing weed in their basement.
But I was always an amateur until recently. I never used the correct lights, the correct nuets, etc…
I had the timing and the basics down, but that was really all.
I had some out door grows when I worked for the irrigation company. But I never harvested from any of them. Someone found them before I did, or some times they just didn’t survive the heat in the summers.
But now I grow my own medicine, as a legal MMJ patient in Washington and I have been very successful in my last few gardens.
I’ve never grown more than 13 plants. My limit is 15. So I am just a hobbyist. My method of growing has low yield as well, so seveal times during the year, I will find myself getting supplies from the dispensaries. I basically grow to offset the cost of my medicine, not as any sort of business (though when I-1068 passes, I will be growing crops).
My low yield is due to using CFLs and LEDs to grow. I use those two types of light for several reasons. #1 lower cost, lower power consumption. #2, the CFLs and LED produce a broader spectrum of light (UVA/UVB) than more conventional cannabis grow lights, like HPS and MH, and in my opinion makes more potent pot if enough light is used. #3 no high demand air circulation system is needed because of much cooler temps.
A lot of people will grow with the blue temp CFLs in vegetation, and switch over to HPS or MH later, but I grow 100% from CFLs and LEDs, I just adjust the color/temp of lights during plant cycles.
But I only get ozs when other people are getting lbs. So there is a big trade off there.
But growing just for myself allows me the luxury of having a low maintanence garden.
Anyway, there are tons of different ways to grow weed. Dirt vs. Hydro vs. Aeroponics… HPS vs MH vs CFL vs LED…
That is why Youtube is such a valuable resource.
Here is a sample of a video on how to grow hydro. There are videos on everything from germinating the seeds, to selling the product in a cannabis cafe!
I made a video about a hydro-rooting system that I made from a plastic storage tub, a pond pump, a fish tank aerator, and some plastic cups.
This was when I lived behind the zion curtain (Idaho), and we just had a new born baby come to us, so I wasn’t growing weed at this time, just veggies.
We are currently building out a new studio for xCannabis.
We have been doing broadcasts out of my home, but the internet signal is weak, and the distractions are many.
So with our new office space for Emerald Sun Inc, we are also installing a room dedicated to our xCannabis broadcasts.
This will make it easier to have guests, and to stream multiple feeds at once with our highly improved internet.
Right now we are looking for someone to give us a quote on framing a room in our commercial location.
We need a licensed Washington contractor, willing to give us a good deal.
Emerald Sun Inc. “Makers of Green Business Products” is opening it’s doors March 10th 2010.
We will have a small get together and introduce our services to anyone interested.
We are going to start our business as a media company, and we will eventually open a seed dispensary in the back for verified medical marijuana patients who would like to choose from a variety of seeds that we will offer.
Presently our company does silk screen printing including shirts, signs, skateboards, etc.
We also do plotting for blue prints, and vinyl signage.
See ArtisticByNature.com and Emerald-Sun.com
We also have a technology side of our business at EmeraldPOS.com
