We are in the midst of getting Emerald Sun’s Design Studio open. Our grand opening is St. Paddy’s day which is only 11 days out. So as things go for us, we are busy.

We are proud to announce that we are sponsoring NORML in two ways with our new venture.

1. We are donating 5% of all sales to WA NORML until May 10th 2010.
2. We are running banner ads and audio ads on the NORML Stash (NORML Live)

Have a listen to our audio ad that will be played on NORML Live

We are honored to be able to participate and we love NORML!
Congrats on the CBS ad NORML!   (read more..)

In other news, we released this plugin for Wordpress today. This is GentleSource’s software, but we modified it so that it would create shortlinks from SLU2.com by default. With this plugin, you can automatically have social networking via twitter at the bottom of each blog post, and a view only needs to click on the twitter icon to tweet your post, with a shortened URL from www.SLU2.com (Sensi Life).

Short Linking Wordpress Plugin

Also if you haven’t signed it yet, PLEASE sign the petition for I-1068 (WA).
If you don’t know where to sign, come to our grand opening.
Here is a list of places that you can sign as well.

The Emerald Sun will rise, on St. Patty’s Day

March 3rd, 2010 | By Reverend

We have decided to delay the opening of Emerald Sun Incorporate until March 17th.
We have a few permits and licenses as well as a few walls to build.

Emerald Sun Opening March 17th

I figure St. Patty’s is a good day, that doesn’t get a lot of attention. It falls on Wednesday this year after all. So we will probably just keep the party warm for the weekend.

This is an article that I recommend: The Real St. Patrick?

Also this is a video that I made about the struggle that Irish folks endured in our country when they arrived:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlyNWZ9MEtc

On Wednesday March 17th, we will open our doors. We will serve some refreshments and get to know our neighbors.
We will also have a killer sale on all of our new wares! When I say new, I mean no one else has these wares, because they are designed and made by Emerald Sun. Kimberly makes hand sewn threads, from hoodies to shorts, and even some sick kushy bags that we call “Dope Duffals”, these were a hit at HempFest last year!
I will be sporting a new line of clothing made by us. My birthday present from Kimi is this really bad ass corduroy hoodie! Im psyched! You want to talk about made in the USA, these are made in your own back yard! Made for rugged, and casual use.
We are an outdoors type of family, so we make our clothing for our lifestyle.

We will also have a variety of Emerald Sun t-shirts will clever designs to promote the cannabis awareness and legalization movement.

Don’t miss out on this sale, we are give 5% of ever sale to WA NORML, and we are going to be discounting each item at least 15% off regular prices.

Also we will have forms to sign for the I-1068 petition. Read more about it at:

Hello Fabulous Spokane Activists!

You’re reading the first weekly volunteer newsletter alerting you to upcoming events that are rich signature-gathering opportunities for us! A campaign coordinator will be on site at every event with extra blank petitions, so if you’re a first-time volunteer you will be in good hands.

Expect a follow-up call soon from your local coordinator. S/he will invite you to attend at least one event per week so you can contribute regularly toward the Eastern Washington goal of 80,000 signatures before July 2nd. S/he will also be your contact for turning in completed petitions and getting new blank ones.

If every volunteer turns out for one or two events per week, we will make it on the ballot!

The success of I-1068 is up to you. The only question left: What will you do to repeal Prohibition and stop that knock at the door for good?

xCannabis gets a new studio

February 22nd, 2010 | By Reverend

No Gravatar

We are currently building out a new studio for xCannabis.
We have been doing broadcasts out of my home, but the internet signal is weak, and the distractions are many.
So with our new office space for Emerald Sun Inc, we are also installing a room dedicated to our xCannabis broadcasts.
This will make it easier to have guests, and to stream multiple feeds at once with our highly improved internet.

Right now we are looking for someone to give us a quote on framing a room in our commercial location.
We need a licensed Washington contractor, willing to give us a good deal.

Initiative 1068 inspired me

February 17th, 2010 | By Reverend

No Gravatar

In light of Initiative 1068 in Washington, my wife and I had a serious discussion about how we can help most in this aspect.
Since we have been needing to move our home office to a different place and OUT of our home. We elected to rent a store front with monument signage and a nice location where about 60,000 cars pass by every day.

We thought it was about time that we get our feet wet, and start pursuing a legal cannabis business.
Our reasoning is this. That we can have an office, pursue a new business venture, and be able to advertise and advocate Initiative 1068 in a positive way.
I am assuming that I am within my rights under the first amendment to hand out informational pamphlets about this initiative. For me, this seems like the best way to represent.

We thought (in the future) we might sell seeds to other patients, give classes on what medication is right for which ailment. We have spoken to a few RN’s, one of which is a close relative and another who is a very educated cannabis healer in our local community and a friend of xCannabis (Bless up John). We also want to give classes on how to properly grow marijuana, and have different instructors give classes on different methods of growing.
But we will not start with that type of business. We will get our attorney to give it some extensive research before we start with that part of the business. But it will eventually happen.

But we have decided to support dispensaries with software, point of sale equipment, and accessories for a co-op/dispensary retail business. Our company Emerald Sun Inc. will be on the signage and the business license.. This company represent many sides of our artistic and business creations.
We will do retail sales of goods that we have made, such as patchwork clothing, our TM “Dope Duffel” padded bag, t-shirts, and novelties. In the back we will make custom ordered shirts, hats, shoes, whatever. We specialize in both business and personal products and we have been at it for 7 years now. My wife as ran www.ArtisticByNature.com for several years with me, and we have ran www.TechProNow.com together for almost 8 years now.

We believe our hard work, and work ethics will reflect well on the cannabis community, and may help some get over stupid stereotypes of cannabis consumers being lazy and careless. We will also be able to show how productive, average people support this initiative (I-1068).
Medical marijuana money makers

We work hard, and we pay our bills. We aren’t rich, we aren’t poor. But we sure as hell are not lazy, careless people.
There is no reason why cannabis consumers should be feared, or chastise.

Visit www.Emerald-Sun.com

Thanks I-1068 for the inspiration. We will announce more information about our intentions soon.
We are going to incorporate a way to sponsor NORML for the next few months too, in celebration of our grand opening.
Proceeds of the sponsorship will go to WA NORML.

The OIL dependence scam that was forced on this nation so many years ago can and will be STOPPED! The HEMP Industry will flourish with new products that are safe for the environment!….. Seattle has the country’s largest HEMP festival, Spokane should be on board with everyone else about this cause. ….An event Like this will educate, stimulate, and prepare us for the…FUTURE! Having a Cannabis Competition with a ” PROVIDER’S    CUP ” / AWARDS.would bring pride and respect to our Community!….. HEMP Product vendor’s with local business’es  and crafter’s , will bring     ”  Economic Stimulus  ”   Oh Yah!   This is what Spokane needs!  Any and all comments and suggestions are solicited . Lets do it right this time!  Remember the 70’s and the Garbage Eating Goat at Riverfront Park it’s still there!

Video Blog updates for 10/25/2009 and the Inland Northwest NORML meeting

This is my weekly video vlog for xCannabis.  I try to sit down and do these when I have some free time at home, but that rarely happens.  So sometimes I take it on the road with me.

These are some of the clips from 10/25/2009.   I was on my way to the Inland Northwest NORML meeting, and I filmed these videos in my truck and at the meeting.

Took a trip to heaven on earth today

June 24th, 2009 | By Reverend

No Gravatar Join the forum discussion on this post - (1) Posts

I don’t know how else to explain this, except that I went to heaven on earth today.   They call it “CHANGE” and it’s a medical marijuana dispensary in Spokane.

After watching this video from local News station KXYL (click here), didn’t get the impression the news station was reporting without HEAVY bias.

So then I went searching on the net a bit, and I found a few blog posts about them.  Some people had been and didn’t like the place, and some people had been and reported on their experience which seemed positive.

Here are some samples of these posts.

CannaCare.org on Washington’s first dispensary.  (click here)

This is from a blog administrator apparently:

“After checking into this matter and consulting with CC/SMG management, we will not be endorsing this specific establishment. Any questions or concerns CC members or SMG patients may have can be addressed to me. We have taken steps to offset any inconvenience this may cause to SMG patients. Thank you for your understanding and continued support while we implement alternative options. KMJ.”

While I was at the doctor’s office (CBRMedical) which despite the wait, it was an excellent experience in and of itself.  I got all of my paper work together yesterday, by getting all of my chart notes and doctor’s references for the past 2 years, and I had them faxed to me and to the Clinic.  I went down just to hand deliver my copies, and they already had all of my charts, and were ready to make an appointment.
Fortunately I was there on the right day, because I got right in to see Dr. Mohammad Said whom is a very kind man and good to chat with.

I did a little research on him too, aside from CBR’s competition no one has had a bad thing to say about him or his business that I have found..   Dr. Said is very professional, and curtious, and as I understand it Dr. Said is running for governor of Washington.   I like someone who stands up for their rights!  He may have my vote, we’ll see!

But while I was in Dr. Said’s office, I contacted CHANGE because I saw their ad in the NickleNik news paper earlier and they were just closing, it was 6pm.  It sounded like whomever I spoke to had a hard day, so I didn’t plea with them to stay longer.   Even though I really had  reason to beg, which was the horrible headache I was experiencing at the time.   But I decided to just suck it up, and near dose up on Tylenol, which didn’t seem to do anything by cramp my stomach up.

So I decided to come back the next day, the person who I spoke to the night before said they opened at 10am.  I arrived today at about 1:30 because I slept in after a long night of working on computers..

When I walked in the door, I was greeted by Chris who took my authorization, and my ID.  They called my doc and verified my recommendation.  When the credentials cleared, they opened the door to the back room where the herb superb was kept.

They had five strains to choose from and they were very polite and accommodating, though I can’t remember all of the strains after sampling them.   I got three strains, which where the Pineapple Express (I still haven’t saw that movie), AF Gooey, and Grand Daddy Pooba.  I sampled some “Skittles” and I LOVE that stuff.  Seems like it is denser on the sativa side of the strain, but made for an uplifting and slightly medicated rest of the afternoon.

There were other patrons at the store, and they were all older gentlemen and also very pleasant.  We spent about 15 minutes just chillin.  It was very relaxing..  (ahhh)

My review of this place, and the process was VERY positive.  I only wished they had more strains available, and according to one of the employees, soon they will.   I’d like to see some hash and some baked goods in the near future.

Also to my surprise  Christopher Stevens is on the front cover of the Spokesman Review today.
This man is running for City Council as I understand it.  After he expressed such professionalism and service to me today, he would likely have my vote if I lived in his district.

I don’t believe that they have a website, but I want to recommend my wife to him or anyone who needs an earthy, organic, and professionally made website.   See Artistic By Nature on the net.

Heaven on earth all day!!!!!   Praises to the Almighty!
